Amazing Gold Sculpture [Pics]

1. Having seen some of the most popular artists, heavily involved in the street-wear scene, exhibit at the Emmanuel Perrotin, makes you wonder what the famed collector might have in-store. Aside from the current showcase, at the gallery’s Paris location, is a collaboration sculpture, created between Kanye West and legendary super-flat artist Takashi Murakami. The piece follows the re-occurring Kanye bear theme, created in a gold sculpture.

2. Celebrity turning into gold. The gold statue on display now at the British Museum is said to be the largest piece worked in gold since the time of Ancient Egypt, shows Kate Moss, in nothing but a brief pair of undies and a sports bra, contorted into various yoga poses. This gold piece is about $3 million! This gold stature is weighing at 50kg, it was created by Artist Marc Quinn.

3. All the leaves on this tree are created by hammering and flattening each wire. Bonded onto oval dark wood base into mound of aluminum resin.
4. “Celebration Mickey” is the largest solid gold sculpture ever created in the United States, and the most valuable “Disney” collectible in the world!

Made from 24-karat gold, this one-of-a-kind Mickey Mouse sculpture was created to observe Walt Disney’s 100th birthday in 2001. Designed by Disney artist Marc Delle, “Celebration Mickey” classically depicts Disney’s hallmark character dressed in his traditional button shorts, gloves, shirt, and shoes.
